Ari Hoenig Trio The Ari Hoenig trio formed in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. Ari met Gadi Lehavi and Ben Tiberio separately but around the same time. Ari was in search of a new group. Hailed as a genius by legends such as Chick Corea and Ravi Coltrane, pianist Gadi Lehavi is proving to be one of the leading voices in jazz.Bassist and composer Ben Tiberio has spent the past decade making an indelible mark on New York City’s dynamic jazz scene. Ari put together these two young talents and listened. Pleased with the results, the band soon formed and developed musically together. They released Golden Treasures in 2022 and Tea for Three in 2024, both on Fresh Sound records.This stunning trio continues to wow audiences nationally and internationally. They give concerts, masterclasses and often do school residencies. Their collaborative efforts not only showcase their growth as musicians but also reflect Ari’s ongoing ability as a bandleader to form and nurture groups that perform his innovative music.
