The Parker House Band presents selections from the Great American Songbook—the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century—our longstanding ensemble breathing life into already phenomenal, historical music. As jazz composer and music historian Gunther Schuller once noted, “The one truism about jazz is that it remains distinguishable not by what is played but by how it is played.” At Parker, the genius of the music plays out beautifully in 4/4 time at the expert hands of pianist Ryan Davis, bassist Ben Triesch, and drummer Jeremy Bruch. Improvisation is king, and exceptional guest musicians frequently sit in, so no two shows are ever the same. Lavish lighting and the best sound in the city (designed by Steve Durr Designs) are engineered by Mac McDonnell. Parker Jazz Club is 21+ music venue
