Temple High School: Temple Blues

Texas Jazz Society Presents… The Temple Blues! This is an ongoing series presented by Parker Jazz Club in conjunction with the Texas Jazz Society to provide opportunities for local area high school programs to perform and raise money for their music programs. 100% of ticket sales go directly back to the high school! All of these concerts are livestreamed for family and friends for free. Please consider helping us support these fine young musicians! The Temple Blues is the non-varsity jazz ensemble at Temple High School. This group serves as the training ensemble for the Temple Highlighters. Students in this ensemble refine their jazz skills by studying the big band repertoire of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and more. They actively participate in regional festivals throughout Texas. The Temple Blues are under the direction of Brent Mathesen.
